About Susi

 Susi J. Smith’s dream of becoming a writer began in 2004, when she took a year out after graduation to write a novel. This ‘year’ turned into three, and produced Poltergeist: the Legacy fan fiction, and two dystopian fiction books (all unpublished).

Gap ‘year’ over, Susi returned to university to seek a career. However, her love of writing continued, and she focused on shorter pieces to fit around her studies. In 2018, after six years living in the Wild West — also known as Lanarkshire — Susi moved back to her hometown of Livingston to raise her family.

The separate areas within Livingston inspired many of the towns in the Murder in Moorbank series.
